Design protection in Denmark and the EU
If a design is of a new and individual character, it is possible to obtain a registration of this design.
Design registration – application and duration
A design can be registered nationally in Denmark or in the entire EU by an EU design. It is consequently possible to gain protection in all EU Member States by one application.
A Danish design registration and a registered EU design are valid for five years and it is possible to extend the protection by up to 25 years.
