Plesner hosts international law student competition

Plesner invests in the future generations of international litigators and hosts a "Pre-Moot" competition on 3-4 April 2017 as preparation for the annual "Vis Moot" competition - the largest and most prestigious law student competition in the world.

Every year, thousands of law students, lawyers, arbitrators and other practitioners from all over the world head to the beautiful city of Vienna to take part in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot ("Vis Moot"). The competition is now held for the 24th time, and this year the students will litigate a dispute relating to delivery of engines for private jets under the CISG.

At this annual event, law students from more than 300 universities worldwide will test each other pleading as legal counsels to the commercial parties in an international (mock) arbitration dispute. The highlight of the competition is the oral arguments, which take place in Vienna in the week before Easter. The Vis Moot competition plays an important role in shaping tomorrow's international litigators and arbitrators and in further strengthening relations among practitioners in the field of international dispute resolution. Plesner wants to play an active part in this development and invest in future generations.

Plesner will therefore host a so-called "Pre-Moot" for law students participating in the Vis Moot, which will be held on 3-4 April 2017 at Plesner's offices in Copenhagen. At this event, the students will have the opportunity to refine their oral arguments, receive feedback and mingle with seasoned practitioners before setting the course for Vienna.
