DONG Energy IPO is European Deal of the Year

Plesner has received the International Financial Law Review's (IFLR) award "Equity - Deal of the Year in Europe" for Plesner's assistance with and advice on the DONG Energy IPO.
On 9 June 2016, DONG Energy was admitted to trading and official listing on Nasdaq Copenhagen and the transaction received significant international attention.
DONG Energy is a global leader in offshore wind power and the IPO of the group has now been acknowledged at European level. At the IFLR's Europe Awards 2017 on 20 April the DONG Energy IPO was named European Deal of the Year in the category Equity.
Plesner acted as the advisor to the Kingdom of Denmark, which is the majority shareholder in DONG Energy, in connection with the IPO. Following the IPO, the Kingdom of Denmark's shareholding is 50.1%.
