Acquire knowledge and experience at Plesner.

Law student

You may become a law student at Plesner if you are studying for a bachelor's degree. We hire law students from the universities in Copenhagen, Odense, Aarhus and Aalborg.

As a law student, you will get acquainted with the legal work in a law firm. Your work will be planned to allow you to get acquainted with life as a business lawyer at one of Denmark's leading full-service law firms. Your job will include searches in legal literature, appearances before the enforcement court and other relatively uncomplicated legal work.

Legal intern
You may become a legal intern at Plesner if you are studying for a master’s degree. We hire law students from the universities in Copenhagen, Odense, Aarhus and Aalborg.

As a legal intern, you will get acquainted with the life as a business lawyer. It takes time to get to the core of our culture and business, and you must therefore have at least one year left of your studies when you take up a position at Plesner.
The job is a trainee position aiming at permanent employment, and your work assignments will gradually be expanded to enable you to get acquainted with the job as an assistant attorney. As a legal intern, you will be allowed to rotate between our departments, which will allow you to identify the practice area that you find most interesting. You will attend departmental meetings and participate in other events together with Plesner's permanent legal staff, and you will also be allowed to participate in the courses offered to our assistant attorneys and attorneys. Moreover, you will work in close association with our other law students, which will enable you to build new professional and social relations.

What can we do for you?

When you take up a position with us, you will be attached to a specific department, partner and tutor who will oversee your professional and personal progress. In the course of your employment, you will be allowed to rotate and get acquainted with several of our practice areas. Our rotation scheme is very flexible, and you can therefore use your time with us to identify the practice area that you find most appealing.

Flexibility and working hours
As a law student, it is up to you to decide whether you want to work eight or 16 hours a week. However, if you are a law student at Aalborg University or Aarhus University, we recommend that you only work one day a week.

As a legal intern, you will work 16 hours a week over two days. However, if you are a law student at Aalborg University or Aarhus University, you will only work eight hours one day a week, but you will be paid for one and a half days, and you will be included in the daily work on equal terms with Plesner's other legal interns. We will match your assignments to your working hours and adjust them if you are only with us one day a week.

Regardless of whether you are a law student or a legal intern, we will coordinate your working hours with those of the other law students and legal interns attached to your department, and together we will ensure that your work does not interfere with your studies. Naturally, we are also flexible in connection with your exams, and you will be granted a three-month leave to write your thesis. You are welcome to use our facilities, both when you prepare for your exams and when you write your thesis, and we will be pleased to provide advice and guidance in that connection.

Your life and your career
As a team player for Plesner, we expect you to have great expectations for your life and career. We certainly do. And that you have high professional qualifications that you are willing to further enhance in collaboration with us. You must, of course, be interested in the business sector, and English proficiency at a high level is an important work tool in our line of business.
