Aleris sold to Triton

Healthcare provider Aleris has been sold to Triton for EUR 264m. Plesner advised Aleris and its owner Investor AB on the transaction.

Aleris is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and is one of the leading private healthcare providers in Scandinavia with more than 100 hospitals and radiology clinics, including all Aleris-Hamlet hospitals in Denmark. Triton acquired Aleris from Patricia Industries, a part of Investor AB, which acquired Aleris in 2010.

Triton is an investment firm primarily focusing on sectors such as industry, service, consumption and health in Northern Europe. Trion was established in1997 and today owns 38 companies with approximately 73,000 employees.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2019.
