Nordic Solar, EWII and Skjern Paper sign corporate power purchase agreement
Nordic Solar has signed a corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) with EWII and Skjern Paper. Plesner has acted for Nordic Solar in connection with the PPA.
The PPA entails that Skjern Paper will purchase green electricity produced by a new solar park in Lysabild, Als, Denmark built and owned by Nordic Solar. It is expected that the solar park will have a capacity of approximately 33 MW. It is further expected that the solar park will reach commercial operation in 2022.
Nordic Solar is a solar company which develops, builds and operates solar parks all over Europe. EWII is a supplier of electricity grid, water, heat and fiber and Skjern Paper is the only paper factory in Denmark.
In Nordic Solar's press release, Nordic Solar mentions that the PPA is unique, with optimal risk allocation and a simple contractual foundation.
