Plesner assists Niam in the acquisition of 452 houses and flats in the Greater Copenhagen area
The acquisition of a portfolio of 452 owner-occupied flats and terraced houses etc increases Niam's Danish housing portfolio to approximately 1,100 newly built houses and flats in the Greater Copenhagen area.
On behalf of the property fund Niam Nordic V the Swedish private equity company Niam has entered into an agreement with Essex Invest A/S to acquire, as from 1 June 2013, a housing portfolio of approximately 43,700 square metres at a total value of approximately EUR 138 million. The agreement was landed with Plesner as the legal advisor and the portfolio includes 452 owner-occupied flats and terraced houses etc in the Greater Copenhagen area.
This transaction brings Niam's housing portfolio in Copenhagen up to more than 100,000 square metres.
Johan Bergman, the CEO of Niam, says:
