Aquila Capital acquires new wind farm

A company in the German private equity fund Aquila Capital has acquired the Danish company Vindtestcenter Kappel A/S from European Energy A/S. Plesner advised Aquila Capital on the transaction.

Vindtestcenter Kappel A/S owns a wind farm in Southern Denmark consisting of seven wind turbines with a total capacity of 25 MW.

Aquila Capital has acquired Vindtestcenter Kappel A/S from European Energy A/S which specialises in the development and construction of wind turbines and solar installations.

The acquisition of Vindtestcenter Kappel A/S has been structured as a turnkey supply of the wind farm and it includes public permits and a large number of long-term leases on land.

The wind farm is new and it consists of new types of Vestas wind turbines up to 180 metres high and each wind turbine can generate between 3.45 and 3.6 MW.
