Orkla acquires Danish pizza chain Gorm's

Orkla Foods Denmark A/S has acquired 67% of the shares in the Danish restaurant chain Gorm's specialising in gourmet pizzas. Plesner assisted Orkla with the transaction.
The acquisition of the controlling interest in Gorm's Pizza is the Norwegian Orkla group's first investment in a restaurant chain.
Gorm's Pizza has nine restaurants in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Odense. Orkla's Investment in Gorm's is to prepare the ground for further growth of the pizza chain in more Danish cities.
Orkla Foods Danmark is a leading supplier of grocery products that are sold under the trademarks Beauvais, Den Gamle Fabrik, Glyngøre, Bähncke, FUN, Grønnegården and Risifrutti, among others.
