Færch Plast acquires recycler 4PET Group

Plesner advised Færch Plast, a leading plastic packaging supplier to the food industry, in connection with the acquisition of the controlling interest in 4PET Group, a leading European material specialist for PET sheets and food-grade recycling.
This acquisition makes Færch Plast, which is owned by private equity firm Advent International, one of the world's first integrated plastic packaging suppliers, and advances it in terms of sustainability.
4PET Group is a specialist in recycling of food contact plastics. The acquisition of 4PET Group provides new opportunities for Færch Plast to transform used plastic trays into raw materials for new products.
4PET Group has approximately 200 employees and had a turnover of Euro 50 million in 2017.
The transaction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2018.
