A.P. Møller Holding A/S acquires KK Wind Solutions

A.P. Møller Holding A/S has acquired 100% of the share capital in KK Group A/S from Solix Group AB. Plesner advised A.P. Møller Holding A/S on the transaction.

KK Group A/S is a leading global supplier of electrical system solutions for the wind turbine industry and operates under the brand KK Wind Solutions.

KK Wind Solutions was founded in 1981 in Herning, Denmark, where the company built a factory for manufacturing one of the world's leading electrical systems for the wind turbine industry. Today, KK Wind Solutions supplies everything from very small print cards to large components weighing several tons for wind turbines. PFA acquired the shares from the founders in 1983 and owned KK Wind Solutions until 2016 when the shares were sold to private equity fund Solix Group AB that has now sold the shares to A.P. Møller Holding A/S.

The acquisition is to be approved by the competition authorities in Denmark and Germany, which is expected to happen in the third quarter of 2019.
