Templafy obtains DKK 80m new capital in the form of Venture Debt

The Danish software company Templafy has obtained commitments for in total DKK 80m Venture Debt from Vækstfonden and Danske Bank. Plesner represented Templafy on the transaction.

Templafy has obtained in total DKK 80m new capital to further finance the company's growth. The new capital has been obtained by way of so-called Venture Debt - a loan product, which has so far only been offered to few companies in the Danish market. For start-up companies Venture Debt may constitute an attractive alternative to equity financing, among others, because the financing can be obtained without immediately giving away direct ownership interests in the company in contrast to traditional funding rounds.

Templafy was founded in Copenhagen in 2014 and is now a global market leader within its field. Templafy has developed an enterprise cloud service solution for purposes of template management and document automation, validated by blue chip enterprise customers on every continent.

Plesner has previously represented Templafy in relation to, among others, the acquisition of the Dutch company iWRITER, the contribution of capital from leading international funds and the acquisition of the German company Veodin.
