Yokogawa acquires Grazper Technologies

Japanese listed company Yokogawa Electric Corporation has just acquired the Danish software company Grazper Technologies. Plesner has advised Yokogawa on the transaction.

Grazper Technologies specializes in developing AI software for surveillance cameras that can recognize and analyze live images from cameras. The company was established in 2015 and is headquartered in Copenhagen.

Yokogawa Electric Corporation - listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange - buys all the shares in Grazper with the announced transaction. The sellers are the two founders Thomas Jakobsen and David Guldbrandsen as well as the Danish capital fund Promentum Equity Partners. The Grazper team will now, in collaboration with Yokogawa, continue the development of software with artificial intelligence (AI).

Founded in 1915, Yokogawa engages in broad-ranging activities in the areas of measurement, control, and information technology.
