Faerch Group acquires MCP Performance Plastic

Plesner has acted as lead counsels for Faerch Group, the Danish-based manufacturer of sustainable trays for the global food industry in connection with the acquisition of MCP Performance Plast. 

This transaction marks the seventh add-on acquisition by Faerch, which Plesner has advised on, and underlines the continued international growth journey for Faerch.

The acquisition of MCP marks Faerch's market entry in the United States and is part of the company's long-term strategy of making food packaging circular and bring Faerch's offerings into additional markets.

Faerch is the leading European manufacturer and supplier of trays for the global food industry and the world’s first integrated tray recycler offering its customers fully recyclable products.

MCP Performance Plast is a high-quality manufacturer of turn-key packaging solutions, serving food producers, brand owners and retailers in the United States, the Middle East and Europe. MCP has two production sites in the United States and Israel, employs 150 people and offers a large range of food trays made from CPET, APET and PP.

The transaction is subject to customary governmental approvals and is expected to be completed within the next three months.
