Plesner advised Nordic Solar with EUR 300m flexible credit facility

Nordic Solar has entered into an agreement on a flexible credit facility totalling EUR 300m with US private equity firm EIG. Plesner has advised Nordic Solar in connection with the transaction.

Nordic Solar is a Danish-owned energy company which develops, builds and operates industrial solar parks in Denmark and across Europe. 

Nordic Solar currently has 358 MWp in operation and a goal of 2 GWp in operation around the end of 2025. 

The flexible credit facility will enable Nordic Solar to achieve its ambitious growth target of more than fivefold increase in the production capacity. 

EIG is a leading institutional investor to the global energy sector and specialises in private investments in energy and energy-related infrastructure.  

The core Plesner team consisted of Niklas Korsgaard Christensen, Thomas Holst Laursen, Henrik Kure and Morten Stig Ottesen.
