Cloud computing - in practice

Plesner invites you to attend a seminar

Monday 2 November 2015
9.00 - 15.30

Cloud computing offers businesses and public authorities a broad spectrum of benefits in connection with IT solutions. As in any other type of outsourcing, however, the necessary precautions need to be taken to protect the organisation from commercial, security and, not least, legal risks.

Handing over data to a third party should always be performed so as to protect the organisation in the best possible manner, for instance if supervisory authorities make unannounced visits, if data are compromised, or if the contract gives rise to problems.

At this seminar, Plesner’s team of experienced experts will address the various aspects of IT and data protection law a business has to consider when using external cloud services.

The seminar aims to provide the participants with the necessary tools for identifying and handling the often difficult problems that occur when cloud contracts are being negotiated. In that connection, practical examples will be given to illustrate the most pressing challenges of IT and data protection law facing the users of cloud computing.

Participants will thus be presented with a practical approach to the topic - tools they can utilise in their day-to-day business.

  • Michael Hopp, Attorney-at-Law, Partner
