New Danish marketing law association

Eleven of Denmark's leading marketing law experts have formed the Danish association "Dansk Forening for Markedsføringsret" (in English: the Danish marketing law association). The first event will be held on 3 May and the subject is hidden advertising.

The object of the association is to spread the knowledge and understanding of marketing law. Michael Hopp, Attorney-at-Law, and Jane Frederikke Land, Attorney-at-Law, from Plesner are among the 11 founders of the association. The other founders come from the legal profession, the universities, the business sector, interest groups and the Danish Consumer Ombudsman.

Membership

Anyone interested in marketing law, attorneys, lawyers and others in the private sector, organisations, public authorities etc can become members. The annual membership fee is DKK 300 for individuals and DKK 1,000 for a public authority or a private legal entity.

Event on hidden advertising

The association will regularly hold events on current market law subjects, for example the practice/case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union, the EU rules' impact on Danish marketing law and the new Danish marketing practices act.

The first event will be on hidden advertising and it will be held on 3 May 2016 from 3pm to 6pm at the University of Copenhagen.
