Rosendahl acquires Lyngby Porcelæn

Rosendahl Design Group has just entered into an agreement with the design company Karakter Copenhagen on the acquisition of Lyngby Porcelæn known for the "Lyngby vase" for an amount in the double-digit million range. Plesner advised Rosendahl Design Group on the transaction.

By the acquisition of Lyngby Porcelæn, Rosendahl Design Group, which already owns seven independent brands, is able to add another new and strong Danish brand to its portfolio.

The history of Lyngby Porcelæn goes back several decades when the company was established in 1936 as a porcelain factory with the name Porcelænsfabrikken Danmark. Porcelænsfabrikken ceased to exist in 1969 but re-opened in 2012 as Lyngby Porcelæn and it really made an impact when it relaunched the "Lyngby vase" shortly afterwards.

In addition to the "Lyngby vase", Lyngby Porcelæn's product portfolio includes a large number of products and designs that Rosendahl Design Group also plans to continue and develop further.

Rosendahl Design Group's current portfolio includes Rosendahl, Holmegaard, Kay Bojesen, Global, Arne Jacobsen, Bjørn Wiinblad, Juna and now also Lyngby Porcelæn.
