Temasek acquires 30% of Haldor Topsøe

Global investment company Temasek has signed an agreement with the Topsøe family to purchase 30 % of the shares in Haldor Topsøe A/S. Plesner assisted Temasek with the transaction.

Global investment company Temasek headquarted in Singapore will be a new minority shareholder in Danish engineering business Haldor Topsøe A/S.

Temasek has signed an agreement to purchase 30% of the shares in the company from the Topsøe family’s holding company Haldor Topsøe Holding A/S.  The Topsøe family will remain the majority shareholder in Haldor Topsøe.

Temasek's investment is to enhance the growth potential for Haldor Topsøe, which had a revenue of approximately USD 760m in 2017.

Haldor Topsøe has some 2,200 employees and is one of the world’s leading producers of catalysts and proprietary technologies for the chemical and refining industries.

Temasek has offices in Asia, Europe, USA and South America and had a portfolio of more than USD 300bn, primarily in Asia, as at 31 March 2018.

The transaction is expected to be completed later this year.
