Niam acquires Copenhagen Towers in the largest real estate deal of the year

Niam, the Swedish private property owner, has acquired Copenhagen Towers in Ørestad (Copenhagen) from Solstra Capital Partners at a price of approximately DKK 2.3bn. Plesner advised Niam in connection with the transaction.

Niam's acquisition of Copenhagen Towers is the largest real estate deal in 2019 so far. The seller is Copenhagen Skyline, a property company owned by the partners of Solstra Capital Partners.

The transaction comprises the iconic 21-storey curved office building and two other office buildings as well as a hotel building housing the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The total area is 84,000 sqm.

Several large companies have their offices in Copenhagen Towers, and the hotel has been named the World's most energy friendly hotel several times.
