Marlin Equity Partners acquires Unifaun

Marlin Equity Partners has acquired Swedish software provider Unifaun from Vetruvian Partners. Plesner acted as lead counsel for Marlin Equity Partners on the transaction.

Marlin Equity Partners has acquired Swedish Unifaun, the leading cloud delivery orchestration platform in Northern Europe serving the European logistics ecosystem. The seller is the global private equity fund, Vetruvian Partners.

Unifaun is headquartered in Stockholm and has approximately 200 employees in eight European countries. During 2019, more than 300 million shipments were handled in the Unifaun system. Marlin Equity Partners’ investment in Unifaun is to contribute, among other things, to strengthening and expanding Unifaun's positon in the European market.

Marlin Equity Partners is a global investment firm with over USD 7.2bn of capital under management.

Plesner previously assisted Marlin Equity Partners in connection with both the acquisition and the sale of Danish software provider Bluegarden, as well as the acquisitions of Swedish software provider Medius, Norwegian software provider Puzzel, and Danish software provider Heimdal Security.

The transaction signed in July 2020 and closed on 21 August 2020.

This is another example of M&A transactions where Plesner acts as lead counsel on the relevant client’s acquisition of businesses in Northern Europe based on our knowledge of a client’s business, culture and requirements.
