New book about the Danish Companies Act

The annotated Danish Companies Act has been updated. For the first time ever, the annotated Danish Companies Act has been written by an employee of the Danish Business Authority and an advisor from the private sector, which means that the new version focuses even more on the practical challenges of businesses than before.

The annotated Danish Companies Act (Danish: "Selskabsloven med kommentarer") was written by Lars Bunch who is a partner at Plesner and Søren Whitt who is Head of Section at the Danish Business Authority. The two authors' objective has been for the publication to focus on the rules and the practice of the Danish Business Authority, and at the same time to include real problems and solutions from Danish business life.

The most recent edition of the annotated Danish Companies Act was published four years ago. The requirements to be met by businesses are constantly changing due to new legislation and new administrative practice from the Danish Business Authority, the Danish Company Appeals Board and the Danish courts. Consequently, there has been a need for a new and updated edition of the book that includes new legislation and administrative practice.

The new book is written in such a way that it may specifically help businesses understand the new requirements.

An example of the more practical focus of the new annotated Danish Companies Act is the reproduction of a wide section of the practice of the Danish Business Authority in terms of the rules on beneficial owners.

The book is published by Karnov Group.
