Plesner named "Danish Tax Firm of the Year" and "European Court of Justice Firm of the Year"

The recognized journal International Tax Review has just named Plesner both "Danish Tax Firm of the Year" and "European Court of Justice Firm of the Year".

Plesner has been named "Danish Tax Firm of the Year" nine times since 2009, which emphasizes Plesner's position as a market leader in Denmark with respect to tax law.

International Tax Review also named Plesner "European Court of Justice Firm of the Year". It is the first time this prestigious prize, which is given to a European law firm for its conduct of tax cases before the Court of Justice of the European Union, has been awarded to a Danish law firm. Plesner has been nominated for the prize twice before.

No other Danish law firm has conducted - and won - as many tax cases before the Court of Justice of the European Union as Plesner. In 2019, Plesner represented tax payers in three "beneficial owner" cases conducted as pilot cases before the Court of Justice of the European Union. In recognition of the great importance of these cases, International Tax Review also - in addition to the above-mentioned prizes - awarded Plesner two "Impact Case Awards".
