Plesner donates to humanitarian relief in Ukraine

Plesner is making a donation to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's humanitarian relief operations in Ukraine. The donation is to contribute to the provision of shelter, health services and legal advice etc to the Ukrainian people.

Plesner's Managing Partner, Niklas Korsgaard Christensen, states:

"Plesner condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The decision to start a war and the consecutive acts of war in the heart of Europe violate fundamental international law and pose a serious threat to principles of democracy and the rule of law. We wish to help the people of Ukraine, who are in serious need of humanitarian relief due to the Russian invasion. Therefore, we have started a donation to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, which is present in Ukraine and in the neighbouring countries and is engaged in providing protection and relief to the many desperate people who have been forced to flee military actions."

UNHCR's primary purpose is to safeguard the rights and well-being of refugees. This is more specifically done by providing protection, shelter, health services and legal advice.
