Mogens Aarestrup Vind and Rie Paving Mortensen are the latest additions to Plesner's competition law team.

The team, headed by partners Christian Karhula Lauridsen and Gitte Holtsø, and also consisting of Bo Vesterdorf, former President of the Court of First Instance, now comprises fourteen competition law specialists. Christian Karhula Lauridsen says:

Mogens Aarestrup Vind

Mogens Aarestrup Vind was a partner with Eversheds until he joined Plesner on 1 January 2011. Mogens Aarestrup Vind has more than ten years of experience in Danish and European competition law, among other things from a long period in Brussels. He has previously advised international as well as large Danish undertakings in, for example, the energy, food, pharmaceutical and retail business. Mogens Aarestrup Vind also has considerable experience providing advice in relation to procurement law and regulatory matters. He says:

Rie Paving Mortensen

Economist Rie Paving Mortensen (MA Economics) joined Plesner on 1 December 2010 for the purpose of strengthening the economic expertise of the competition team. Rie Paving Mortensen previously worked as an economist with DONG Energy and the Danish Competition Authority (now the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority) where she primarily made analyses relating to competition law economics. Rie Paving Mortensen says: 

"I am very pleased to have become part of Plesner's competition team. Economic theory is generally the foundation of competition law and is becoming a factor in practice. Integration of economics into competition law advice has become a necessity, particularly in big and complex cases and I am looking forward to contributing to such integration to ensure our clients receive the best possible advice."
