PenSam Pension divests subsidiary PenSam Forsikring

PenSam Pension forsikringsaktieselskab (PenSam Pension) has entered into an agreement to divest its wholly-owned subsidiary, PenSam Forsikring A/S (PenSam Forsikring), to the publicly traded company, Gjensidige Forsikring ASA. Plesner acted as legal advisor to PenSam Pension.
For over 10 years, PenSam Forsikring has delivered attractive non-life insurance offerings to members of PenSam Pension, PenSam Bank, and their respective families. In 2022 alone, these offerings generated premium revenues amounting to DKK 118 million.
As part of the sale, PenSam Forsikring's 26,000 customers and 30 employees will be transferred to Gjensidige Forsikring ASA.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
Plesner's core team consisted of Nicolai Ørsted, Simon Västernäs, Cirkeline Hilden Christensen, Charlotte Hasseriis Iversen, Niels Chr. Ellegaard and Nina Bech Damgaard Pedersen.
