Capidea invests in Digital Group
Danish private equity fund Capidea invests in Digital Group, a Danish leader in print-as-a-service in the Danish market for print solutions and related software. Plesner has acted as legal advisor to Capidea.
Digital Group was founded in 2001 and has experienced significant growth over the past few years and is now one of the largest providers of print-as-a-service in the Danish market. Digital Group offers subscriptions for printers, related IT solutions and related services such as maintenance of printing units.
The investment is made together with a new investor and the existing shareholders who have reinvested in Digital Group. Accordingly, the sellers will continue to own a significant share of Digital Group following the completion of the transaction.
Capidea makes long-term investments in small and medium-sized Danish companies with growth potential. Since its establishment in 2006, Capidea has invested in more than 27 companies spread across four funds. The investment in Digital Group is the second investment in Capidea's latest fund, Capidea Fund IV, which was established in 2023 with a committed capital of approximately DKK 1.3 billion.
