His broad experience, in particular within the offshore wind industry, comes both from working in-house at large corporations and private practice with first tier law firms in Denmark. 

He focuses on the full lifecycle of project development, including the strategic procurement of all key packages of an offshore wind farm project. Among others, he has advised on Thor (1GW - Denmark), Vineyard Wind (800MW - USA), Chiang Fang Xi Dao (589MW - Taiwan), and Jeonnam I (99MW – South Korea). Jan has experience in advising project developers, investors as well as first-tier suppliers.

Jan holds a Bachelor and Master of Laws degree from the University of Antwerp (Belgium), an advanced Master of Science in Maritime Sciences from the University of Ghent (Belgium), and an MBA from Boston University (USA). Jan speaks Dutch, English, French, German, and Danish, with varying degrees of fluency.
